ABOUT ME
I believe simplicity leaves the strongest impression.
The way color, light, geometry, and perspective can transform ordinary places into something unexpected.
My introduction to photography—like many people’s—came through a parent. In high school, I wanted to take a photography class and needed a film camera, so my mom let me borrow her Canon A1.
After that class, photography drifted into the background for a while. I didn’t think much about it again until a trip to Iceland in 2018. I was in awe of the landscape and brought my camera everywhere we went. When it came time to photograph the northern lights, I realized my point-and-shoot couldn’t capture what I had hoped. As soon as I returned home, I purchased my first full-frame camera—and I haven’t looked back since.
Since then, my work has reached audiences around the globe. As one of Unsplash’s Top 100 contributors, my photographs have been viewed more than 1 billion times and downloaded over 2 million times.
Photography has also given me opportunities to give back. I teach a photography class at the Boys & Girls Club of Dorchester—a deeply rewarding experience that pushed me outside my comfort zone as I guided a group of 12-year-olds through both the technical and creative sides.
